I. Love. Baking.

I mean, I haven't always. It wasn't some "written in the stars" scenario I knew from an early age. It's not this amazing thing I always knew I was destined to do. But here we are. And Why?

Because I've always loved food. Flavor. Texture. Contrast. I mean, good food.

​

I am 100% a "live to eater" and will never comprehend eating to live. It's something my family and I plan entire vacations and events around. Which bakeries, eateries, street vendors, are we aiming to try, and what delicious things can we hit along the way? 

​

The moment of clarity that turned my love for food into a passion for baking can't be pinpointed to one moment, but rather a collection of moments.

I wanted something different, something unique. I wanted desserts that had all of those things I loved in a single bite.  I needed an euphoric explosion in my mouth in the form of baked everything. So I started testing my recipes and shoveling desserts down my friends mouths. If you came to visit during this time, you probably left a couple pounds heavier with a to-go box of some sugar enriched sweet (your waist line may hate you, but I thank you for your sacrifice).

Too often, and for various reasons, we're rushing away from the table at meals end rather than savoring the last and sweetest memory. 

​

Don't skip the dessert. It's meant to be sweet satisfaction. It's meant to tug your lips into a smile.

​

Let us put that smile on your face. The Mad Batter aims to please.
